Save Anywhere ... If Only Mike Moehnke

Editorial Excerpt:

"In all of these cases plus any others that might apply, wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to truly save at any time instead of needing to sift through the entire plot without option to preserve it for later?"

I Feel the Need for Speed Michael Cunningham

Editorial Excerpt:

"While I feel that Japanese RPGs have been creating new and unique battle systems, I am having a harder time playing those with older, slower systems."

The Hanged Man Gabriel Ang

Editorial Excerpt:

"Whenever people get stuck in a rut, they always ask themselves if there is, indeed, another way out. Man is a very inventive and abstract creature, capable of thinking up the most audacious and even ludicrous of plans to find a way around their problems. This sometimes involves a spark of brilliance or a shining knight on a white horse. Sometimes it comes from inside, sometimes from others, sometimes even from the least expected of places. We tend to hope beyond hope that the path before us isn't the only path to travel, so we constantly look for other ways to travel."

Death (Major Spoilers) Gabriel Ang

Editorial Excerpt:

"Death... does anyone truly understand it? Death is something the living may never understand, for it is only the dead who can understand death itself. No one can truly understand the death of another, only that an event such as this brings with it a major, almost transformative change that the very spectrum of the living's existence is altered."

From the Editor's Desk

Two nights ago, I saw the Decemberists in concert for the second time. They performed their entire concept album, "Hazards of Love" and it was fantastic, especially considering that I didn't care for the new album all that much. They didn't play too many of my favourites during the second half, but they did play "Shiny" which made me sigh happily. Colin Meloy continues to be such an impressive performer, so it's always a treat to see him performing at his best. Also, a cover of Heart's "Crazy on You"? Heck yes!

I have been such a busy lady lately, and yet I still find time to game throughout the week. Persona 4 is on the verge of being completed, as I'm in the middle of October at the moment. I've also made it into Chapter Five of Jeanne D'Arc which I am thoroughly enjoying, and finally I have been playing Ar Tonelico which is providing me with much joy and amusement. This game is really too funny... like silly, awkward funny.

I have four editorials this week, but alas, no editorial sundae. JuMeSyn expresses a wish to be able to save anywhere, while Macstorm rebuttals himself to discuss a different side of combat systems. Last, but certainly not least, Gabriel Ang returns with more tarot pieces. If you still haven't figured out which two RPGs he has been referencing throughout these, now it should be much clearer to you all. Also, Death is spoilerish, so read at your own discretion.

Anyways, time to participate in some more awkward sexual humour. Delicious sexual humour...
