The Realism of a Fake World
by Gabriel Putnam
"There’s nothing quite like the thrill of combat. A titanic struggle of wills and skill between two foes, their every movement used for advantage or gain in the conflict at hand. And then, the culmination of that fight, as one ultimate victor finally gains the upper hand. Swinging his sword like wrath given form, he cleaves down on his foe and…sees three little white numbers pop up…462. Hmph."
How Not to Play Online Games
by Heath Hindman
"I was playing was Bomberman Online... I made a joking remark that my urban American/public school background made me good with explosives, which told why I won the match so cleanly. Ho ho ho. No harm done, right? Apparently not. One player, simply named “Bomber,” decided to freak out, get offended, and attack me. He said “Rage, that’s not funny,” much to the puzzling of other players. “Your president is trying to take over the world, one country at a time,” he claimed."
A Special Place
by Gabriel Ang
"Yet such places differ for different people. Some might find this place to be
their room, quite messy and dirty, but it is their home, it is their special
place. Others could find it in the bright colors of an autumn day, as the
leaves fall onto the ground in a dazzling array of yellow and red, heralding the
coming of a white winter."
Console Vs. Computers: To Rebut and Conquer
by Randy Weeks
"Next would be Andrew's comment on Action RPGs, they are not simply hacking games with a few complications. Reflex, evasion and thought is a necessity in order to solve puzzles, defeat enemies and stay alive. The Zelda series was in fact a good game to show innovation to the action genre as it mixed many attributes together and became even better with Ocarina of Time."

“The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.”
-Anonymous
A good method of deciding on what to write about is to simply play games. While romping through your current RPG, look for things you wish were different, or things you wish were improved. Before you know it, you'll have a head full of opinions just waiting to be written as a virtual essay and submitted to RPGamer!
