Editorials for July 9, 2000 - Alien Invasion, Eh?

Updated by Rob Parton

H ey everybody! After a nice week's vacation back home, and a six hour drive back to the city, I'm back online. A week without the Internet and most electronics can make it very relaxing. Cottage Country in Ontario, Canada is absolutely astounding. While my actual home is there, I suggest everybody to go up north there and try it out, or commune with nature wherever you may live.
It's good for the soul.

As one of my first projects after my return, I get to do a nice Editorials update! As I read the editorials I received this week, and looking back at some of the eds I've read in the last few months, I really have to commend people for cleaning up some of the grammar and spelling mistakes. As well, the actual writing seems to be staying at a high standard. With reading material like this, I really do enjoy substituting for this. It's long, arduous work, but it's worth it to get to read all this stuff.

Before running off into the hills, Darien was nice enough to write a Last Word for this week. It's there in the right side for you to read.

This week we have quite a few good editorials. I've decided to post all the editorials that were well written, and especially those that made me laugh. I hope everyone enjoys them, and as always, sends in rebuttals to those they disagree with. I seem to like reading rebuttals even more than original pieces. I love analyzing how people tick :) Remember to send your editorials to Darien for next week. However, I'll forward those that are missed.

On a final note, I've had people both online and in real life ask me what my name is from. Many know that Scarmiglione was the Fiend of Earth in Final Fantasy 4 (the japanese version). However, I mainly take my name from the VERY renowned poem, Dante's "Divine Comedy". Scarmiglione is actually one of the few named devils in the first part of the poem "The Inferno". As well, I took the name from one of my real nicknames, Scar, from the scar I have.

This is quite the change of pace, and it's time to read the editorials. Have a good week, and I hope I might get to update again sometime when I have tons of free time like I do now!

As well, I'd like to thank Maduin for editing up a nice temporary picture for me. I'll be sure to sit down and make a full one this week.
