Editorials

Ru-fi-ooo!

Hello, and welcome to yet another episode of RPGamer Editorials Weekly. Or not-so-weekly, but earnestly headed in that hopeful direction, if you catch my drift. Talk about a lot of stuff. You guys are great, you know that? I've received a lot of feedback, both good and bad, and also a whole LOAD of editorials submissions. Things are looking up, and I'm only hoping they get better.

What's new this time around? Well, not a whole lot. Check the new "feedback" link on my sidebar, (did you notice that the sidebar is new last update? I bet you didn't. Shame on you.) That's where I'm going to stick my mini-poll of the update, which is just pure sillyness, but then again, I'm very much the silly one myself.

Also, I must ask you all to PLEASE, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE refrain from any personal attacks on authors of other editorials. I received a couple this last time which were just downright rude. And yes, I *do* read these things before I post them.

The "Theme" section makes a first appearance here this update, and I just must ask you guys, not to write "rebuttals" to my theme intro editorial. That's not exactly the intention of it. I'm not asking for direct rebuttals on the subject, but discussion-like editorials upon the general subject that that person brings about using their editorial. Please, also, when submitting an editorial for the "Theme" section, please mention that in the subject line of the email, makes it easier to find the durned things when sorting through nearly 100 messages while I'm trying to do an update.

This week is "Feedback week". If you're reading this column right now, you are now obligated to write me a quick email with a little feedback on the design, the layout, what you think of the direction of the section, that kinda stuff. I love getting these emails, not only because it gives me a good idea of how I'm doing, but I love it when I hit "Get New Messages", and it says, "Receiving 1 of 61".. whee! I honestly read all the emails I get, and if you've written a comment about the section or something, you'll find out that I even reply to several of them. Print out my reply, frame it, or something. Maybe I'll sign it on my big tour of the U.S. when I'm famous... or... not. Anyways, lots of interesting stuff, and to kick off the murderous rampage for the next week, a late submission that we just got today, and it wasn't even sent to me. With JD's permission, I snagged this week's theme from his Q&A column... here it is, kids, go wild on this one.

How I see it

Talk about controversial. If that letter from the church-lady seems kinda fake, well, hey. I kinda think so too, to be honest with you. It's still an issue to think about, and I promise you, it's not a hoax by any RPGamer staff member. The email address is in the Q&A section if you want to talk to this lady yourself, but I didn't grab it for here. Other than that, give me feedback, or give me some ice cream, my editorials article for a horse! ... okay, enough Shakespeare.. I'm done with this thing. (Finally) Have a week, kiddos, I'll be back sooner than you think!
