EDITORIALS
Mythril Gear Snyder June 20, 2005

Editor's Comments:Snyder considers where graphics are going in the coming era, what new fields are left to discover.

Editor's Comments:We charge forward over the fields, every rising into the skies...but every time it must come to an end. Snyder delves into the endings of games.

Editor's Comments:Snyder explores the concept of preconceptions and how they affect the experience of the game.

Editor's Comments:One might consider this an overdefinitive answer to why you will never, ever see Aerith come back from the dead.

Classic Editorial

Editor's Comments:Bringing back the classic editorials in order to flesh out the section further to six editorials a week, here we'll have a few editorials each week from years gone by. Here's one on the older gamer, watching the young heroes carry on.

Classic Editorial

Editor's Comments:And here's another from times long past when folks would battle over...um, the ending of Final Fantasy Seven?

Editor's Words

Congratulations Snyder on making mythril. Keep up the good work. And heck, where are our readers pacing these fellows? We've had almost a complete death of submissions in the last few weeks, with Glenn being the only one to send in. Come on folks~! It's your section too! I don't want this to be all staff writings. There's a hundred of you sitting out there playing games for each one of us.

Some might notice this update is a bit later in the day than usual. For that, I present, STORY TIME

Philip: So, I think I'll do that update now.
Computer: Look, happy fun friends want to play.
Philip: Okay, just a few minutes...
*hours later*
Philip: Okay, time to really do the editorials update.
Computer: That's what you think! BRAAWWWGH *dies*
Philip: #%#%#%# Golly! Okay, it'll just be a couple of hours to get it back running.
*hours later*
Philip: There we go...now, update time.
Computer: Mwahahaha BRAAAAAWGH *dies again*
Philip: I'm going to bed.
*next morning*
Philip: Hum, *work work work* I'll get it up now.
ISP: No you won't.
Philip: I think I will!
ISP: BRAWWWGH, NO RPGAMER FOR YOU

And so now everything's working fine again and I can update the column. Whee. We've got a lot of stuff happening this week for you. This is the starter, our usual column. Some of you, the bright ones, may have noticed there are two extra editorials to yammer at this week. We're bringing back classic editorials as a sort of test run to flesh out the updates from four to six eds a week. Why are we doing this? Well, more because I thought four was looking skimpy and not enough folks write for us to do six so, it gets a little help.

Keep an eye out later today for more neat stuff for our readers courtesy of our friends at NISA. But that's not all. That's right, it's EDITORIALS HOUR WEEK~! As per the usual, we got our Java Client to help you guys get in there alongside our IRC FAQ for those who want to come in on a real client. What time will it be? THURSDAY AT 9 PM EST! That's right, THURSDAY. Not wednesday this week as we know all of you readers don't like to miss a beat and I would be kind of mean to ask you to choose between Japan's awesome ROUND TABLE and partying with us. So, Wednesday, come to the Round Table and Thursday head over to #edscorner@irc.esper.net for some editorializing~!
