Frequently Asked Questions Mike "JuMeSyn" Moehnke

Editorial Excerpt: "Once upon a time I had no internet and was forced to clip codes and questions answered from gaming magazines - the pile of clipped Gamepro material was junked several years ago after I unearthed it and realized how outdated that paper is now that the internet resolves the questions."

What Kind of RPG Are You? Michael "Macstorm" Cunningham

Editorial Excerpt: "When someone says that a game is an RPG, what is the first thing that pops into your head? Do you think of the classic Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games with their turn-based combat systems and random encounters? Do you think back on your most recent raid into The Molten Core? Imagine yourself hacking enemies up with Link's Master Sword? Massively Multiplayer Online RPGs, Action RPGs, Tactical RPGs, Western RPGs, and Japanese RPGs are just the start."

From the Editor's Desk

I've been neglecting FE: Radiant Dawn this week, rather spending my time playing through the Metal Gear Solid games again in preperation for the release of Metal Gear Solid 4. I've never been one to do something like that, but I've so far found it to be really fun. Some of the older ones have aged, but Metal Gear Solid 3 is still a really solid play that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys games outside of the Role Playing genre.

On the editorial front we have another week of strong eds from JuSeMyn and Macstorm. JuSeMyn takes some time to discuss online FAQs, while Macstorm breaks down the RPG genre as a whole for a nice, close examination. Which reminds me, I forgot to thank Macstorm last week for the cool banner he made for me to post on these columns. Possessing computer skills that I lack, he kindly offered to make it for me and I think it looks great. On that note, I leave you to the editorials. Enjoy and please submit. We're scraping the bottom of the barrel over here, and by that I don't mean we're printing low quality articles, I just... Oh you get it! WRITE EDS PLEASE!!!
