First Person Plural: The Conflicting Identities of Reality and a Virtual World
by TitoPaul
"Pulling back into the now of MMORPGs, are these really RPGs? Is the role not
really an extension of who you are? Is an avatar merely the digital
representation of your physical being—how you see yourself or as close as you
can in achieving that aim using the set of variables the MMORPG world allows?"
The Nostalgia Factor
by Mike McCall
"What is the deal with people who can't seem to get past their favorite 'Old-School' RPG? Why has it become the cool and popular thing to bash on new games before they've even come out, and then once they do, either refuse to play them or play them grudgingly, going into them with an attitude that they won't like it anyway?"

Editor's Comments
Welcome one and all to this week's editorials column. This week TitoPaul presents us with another incredibly-well-written article, this time on the subject of MMORPGs and their impact very face role-playing itself. First-time-submitter Mike McCall has written an interesting editorial about nostalgia and how it changes gamers' views on new games. Both are well worth a read; a big thanks to both authors.
Some exciting things are coming up for the column in the near future, so stay tuned as the column continues its mid-week updates.
