Editor's Comments: With E3 just around the corner, Nick returns to speculate the future of RPGs as the next generation of console gaming arrives. Every new generation of consoles has seen a drastic change in RPGs as we know them. What changes will arrive this time?

Editor's Comments: Josh returns to discuss "video game violence" and how it has been used to "explain" violence in real life. I somehow doubt a game like Doom will ever spark a violent nature in some poor kid. Though it would be funny if everyone started acting like Mario.

Editor's Comments: With Wii's big unveiling yet to come, Bryan speculates on ways that Wii can be a benefit to the RPG genre. Wii has a lot to offer to the gaming community, but Nintendo's Wifi system promises good things to come.

Editor's Comments: Derek takes a step back to look at all the different controllers we've come across over the years. Starting from the NES and working his way up to the current generation, Derek discusses his likes and dislikes of each controller.

Editor's Words

Here we go again..

Obviously the column got lost in the excitement of E3 this past week. I know I was busy up to my eyeballs trying to get those awesome impressions to you guys! No one showed up to the eds hour Saturday, but I'll forgive you since I was barely there myself. However, I do expect people to show up when I run the next one...whenever my schedule dictates that I can do so.

This week I managed to scrape four editorials out of the eds box, but its pretty empty again. Nick joines us to share speculations on the future of RPGs as the new generation of consoles is upon us. Bryan also speculates on the future of Wii before he went to see the big unveiling up close and personal at E3. Josh analyzes violence in video games and how it doesn't directly affect real life violence. Finally, Derek describes his likes and dislikes in every controller since the NES.

That's all for this week. I know all the awesome coverage from E3 has given you inspiration to make your opinions heard! I look forward to reading the editorials that E3 has inspired.
