The Ideal Size of a Party
by Gabriel Putnam
"Two’s a party, three’s a crowd? Well, this may not always be the case; especially in RPGs. Throughout their development, one of the hallmarks of RPGs has been some form of adventuring party, which was gathered over the course of the game, and then developed through character interaction and plot points among the members. However, the total size of this group, and the dynamic which evolved among its cast, has never been a concept set in stone."
Ramza's Personal Transformation
by Anthony Caudill
"…the key themes to Tactics' plot lie in
the inner conflicts of the main character. Ramza's defining moments are marked
by the aptly-titled musical piece "ANTIPYRETIC", a score rife with echoes of
heroism, sadness, struggle, and personal redemption. This four-pronged theme
cycles through the Tactics storyline throughout each of the four chapters."
Cliche Hero or Mentally Unbalanced Hero? You Decide
by Gabriel Ang
"Over the years we have seen the slow but steady evolution of the RPG hero.
These heroes were made to cater to the desires of those who wanted to play them.
There were swordsmen, axe-wielders, thieves and gunners among others, yet we
could see that their personalities and backgrounds were quite limited."

As you can see, we're a little lacking in submissions this week. This is likely due to busy school schedules as we approach summer break and pre-E3 hype. Nonetheless, we could use as many editorials as we can get, so, by all means, continue to submit your work. Last week's column received the most readers this section has had in about two years. Each article had well over a thousand views, just to give you an idea of how large your audience will be, should you decide to submit an article.
The lack of submissions is made up for this week in pure quality. Gabriel Putnam, our most frequent submitter since the column was revived, has offered another interesting discussion, this time on party size. The other Gabriel talks about cliches, and Anthony Caudill gives an in-depth account of Final Fantasy Tactics' main character, Ramza.
I'll be at E3 for the rest of the week, bringing you news and impressions straight from the show floor in the Los Angeles Convention Center. My inbox will remain open the entire time, though, so continue to submit your editorials!

While proper format for your articles is always important, feel free to experiment with it. Stylized editorials, such as letters, research papers, and interviews with commentary are only a few of the ways to give your submissions a little extra spice. It will also open people's eyes a little wider than it normally would in standard format.
