More of This, Less of That Michael Cunningham

Editorial Excerpt:

"Blue Dragon hit Japan at the end of 2006. Now here we are in 2009 with a third Blue Dragon game on the way to Japan. While neither of these are actually considered to be Blue Dragon 2, the fact that they both exist means that the series must have had enough of a draw to warrant these, along with an anime series. I'm going to put my personal bias against the series aside and just ask the question, do we really need more Blue Dragon, especially this soon?"

Parents Just Don't Understand Sam Marchello

Editorial Excerpt:

"Pokemon seems to have a very love-hate, mostly hate relationship with parents. Sure, Pokemon has the ability to bring out the OCD-kid in all of us, but parents nowadays seem to find Pokemon dangerous when it comes to their children developing social skills."

From the Editor's Desk

I saw Jonathan Coulton last Friday and I have to say it was the most hilarious concert I've ever been to! I nearly peed myself laughing during both sets! If you ever get the chance I highly recommend seeing either Jonathan Coulton or Paul & Storm in concert. Not only will you laugh, but you will be provided with fabulous prizes! Actually one story I'll share from the concert is that this young guy came up to the stage and presented Jonathan Coulton with a handmade wallet. Inside the wallet he put a loonie in it, to which Coulton was overjoyed. Then another gentleman walked over to the stage and handed Jonathan Coulton a bill, to which he said "Hey, twenty bucks!" only to look closer and find out that it was five cents to Canadian Tire - which for those of you who do not know what that is, it's a chain in Canada that specializes in automotive and home building supplies. That was my highlight for the week.

Delicious editorials, I has them! This week I discuss Will Smith Pokemon and Parents. This was an editorial that was a long time coming for me as this is something that I've been trying to wrap my head around for awhile, especially because this issue is something I'm noticing more of. Macstorm discusses games that are getting sequels...that don't need anymore sequels. Mind you, I can't think of a game I'd like to see a sequel for at the moment. I'd rather see some fresh new titles myself.

Well that's it for another column. Any suggestions for some 'Your Opinion' questions, feel free to either e-mail me or post on the forums. What are somethings you guys would like to discuss? Please send in some editorials! Pretty please? I wasn't kidding about sending Hank Hill after you all!
