Editor's Comments: Jeffery puzzles us with a look into a game that shakes up the RPG genre. Will it really have lasting effects, though?

Editor's Comments: JuMeSun starts with Ogre Battle and takes us on a spin of his own. Will his politics draw us in?

Editor's Comments: Dallas hates to be spoiled even slightly for RPGs. But how can you avoid details and still learn about the game?

Editor's Comments: Tony takes aim and fires at one of my past editorials about remakes. Three cheers for this rebuttal.

Editor's Words

Well, first off, let me say thanks. The monkey is gone and things should be getting back to normal now. I've officially taken over for Terrant, who if is still out there, we miss greatly and would like to see again. Well, if there is one thing I've learned, it's that this place is just chalked full of opinions. So, don't just limit your opinions to Q&A. Yes, I know that it is quicker and easier than writing an editorial, but wouldn't you just like to see your name in the bright lights here? You know you would.

This week Jeffery brings us a puzzling editorial about Puzzle Quest. Do we all really "need" this game? JuMeSyn expands on the direction taken in Ogre Battle and makes it his own. Would you follow him down the path? Dallas is tired of previews spoiling him for even minor parts of RPGs. How can you get around that and still know if the game is something you'd enjoy? Finally, Tony hits copper status as he tackles a rebuttal of one of my prior editorials. He thinks along the same lines as I do, but with a little bit different spin on things. All in all, a great week of editorials. Considering what we got last week, anything would have been an improvement.

Well, I've passed the point of no return. I've ousted a monkey and taken the job, so I guess I just have to keep this place running. I can't do that without you guys, our wonderful readers and writers. So here the editor@rpgamer.com link that I spam so often. I just would like to lay down a challenge to our perspective writers. Look through our updates so far this year and find one editorial that you just don't agree with or that you want to share your views on. Write up a rebuttal on it. If the template is too confusing, just email me and we can work out other arrangements. All I need are your thoughts; the format is debatable, because I can fix things up pretty easily. So, there you go. The gauntlet has been thrown down. I'm going to do this as well, but I would much rather read what you all have to say. Until next time...
