Just when you thought that things were somewhat normal, and BANG... the whole neighbourhood decides to call it quits in a somewhat spectacular and dramatic fashion. Well, you would know by now that RPGamer went down for a couple of days.
Well, because of this, I didn't get too much in terms of editorials, which is not a good thing. But however, it's allowed me to start a few things I said I'd start. Well, for starters I, along with a few volunteers, decided to crack open the structure of editorials, and begin work on making it one heck of a lot easier to navigate, and easier to make sense out of.
As well, there is a second thing I will be opening a position within RPGamer editorials, an assistant position to be precise. With the increased activity within this section, I will be seeking someone to assist my work within RPGamer's editorials section to be able to keep up.
Another thing to note is that because of all the changes, particularly with the picking up of an assistant, the e-mail address to submit editorials will change. All future editorials are to be submitted to editor@rpgamer.com and not to my personal e-mail address. If you still wish to discuss editorials, or anything else for that matter, you still can drop me a line at nightshadow@rpgamer.com if you want or need to, but editorials themselves should be directed to the offical address.
Well, although this week's selection is short, it was somewhat expected due to the downtime, it is quite good. We have an interesting counterview on the stereotypes within RPGs, more on the revolution about the sexes, and an interesting look into exactly why we play games. Selection's limited, but I can say that these articles are quite interesting.
So things are looking up for the near future. Oh, and by the way, you can get the application form which you can see right here! Good luck to all applicants, and to the rest of you, have fun reading, and I hope I'll see you next week with more.
