[03.20.2000] - Well, it's the beginning of Spring Break. Had it not been freezing cold, snowing, and 7 hours away, I would have returned from Montreal last night. But as it was, the weather was going to be sub-zero there, so I used my best judgement to say to myself, "Nothing in Montreal is worth another weekend of bitter winter weather."
For that reason, I'm never talking to my friends who went again. My friend John who I was going to go with is the luckiest man alive, honest. Chances are him being there meant that it would have been worth the extra weekend of freezing cold winter weather. So that's why I'm going to just not talk to him, because if I don't know better, nothing fun happened.
Computers are corrupting America's mind. Trust me. I just got home, which means I don't have my computer, which means that I'm trying to do this with completely different configuration. You don't become incapable of writing papers just because you're using someone else's pen, nor does it take you twice as long. I hate computers.
Our selection in editorials is a bit thinner than usual. I have no idea why. So instead of begging you to write in and send me interesting insightful things I can post, I'll use the far more frightening scare-tactic. If you guys don't start filling the column, I'll start filling it with my insane views. Everyone knows I got this job because they were sick of having to print my whack ideas on the video game world. Hopefully this will influence you folks as well.
We do have editorials however. The Kroll debate, music, sequels, square...the usual. I also got an editorial about grammar. My grammar, your grammar, Q&A host grammar is all put under incredibly verbose scrutiny by Mr. Furrow. It's worth a read for certain (even if I don't agree with it). Just to make that clear, I don't agree with the views that you should all be required to spend 3 hours proofreading your editorials. It'd be nice, but it's not happening.
Wow, I guess I felt like rambling today. Or maybe it's just the dread of trying to put together the rest of the little index with the editorial submissions on it. Yeah, it's definetly the latter. Boku wa namakemono desu yo (That means "I'm a sloth you know").
