To Those Who Seek, and Those Who Should
by Ari Litwin
"ne day a prehistoric human stepped out of a tree, or maybe
fell out of a tree. Who knows. Either way this hypothetical
person decided to explore the new world on the ground, and the
rest was history."
Where the Heart Is
by Hobbes Lionheart
"When I finished Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, I thought of the story and
remembered as how it regarded as weak by some people. I personally purely
bought it for the tactics part, but after some thought, the story is not
without merit."
Why RPGs are Vital to our Survival (Or my Survival)
by Justin Cronin
"I have come to realize in my late time, or the past few months, that RPGs take up a special place in my life. They are not just games to me; they are a release from this hell of a world."
Dragon Slave! Make Me Laugh, Damn It!
by The Master Chief
"Have you ever thought about just why we’ve seen so few RPGs that are truly comedic? Not childishly cute, or more light-hearted than normal, but witty, zany, rolling on the floor funny. It amazes me that, for all the talk of video games being on par with movies and literature as an art form, we have almost never seen a true-blue attempt at making the audience giggle from start to finish in a game"

Welcome to this week's quality-packed column. There are four entirely original articles for your reading pleasure. Ari Litwin talks about exploration and learning, and how they apply to RPGs, while Hobbes Lionheart explores Final Fantasy Tactics Advance's plot in-depth. Justing Cronin describes how gaming has helped him through rough times, and Master Chief pleads for a comedic RPG. Many thanks to the four of them, some of whom are frequent-submitters, for submitting their thoughts.
A quick note to anyone who tried submitting earlier this week: RPGamer's mail server was down March 2nd - 4th, so if you tried to send an article on one of those days, please re-submit it.
Remember to consider writing your own piece if any of these editorials have inspired you. Until next week, happy writing.
