Jaded In Midgar Sam Marchello

Editorial Excerpt:

"In Macstorm's recent editorial, he states that he has faith in Final Fantasy XIII as a game he will enjoy no matter what. Strange as it may seem, however, there are a few people on the RPGamer staff who don't share his sentiments in "mindlessly trusting" the Final Fantasy series."

Six Things Pen & Paper RPGs can Learn from their Videogame Counterparts Fowl Sorcerous

Editorial Excerpt:

"While videogames draw from their tabletop counter-parts for many aspect of their gameplay, there are elements that have improved upon that traditional games could benefit from."

From the Editor's Desk

I'm not feeling super chatty this week. I'm still waiting for Lunar to arrive on my doorstep, and lately I've been watching nothing but a slew of 90s movies. If you can figure out what movie and video game is being referred to in this week's title, you shall receive an e-cookie.

Two editorials this week. One comes from Fowl Sorcerous discussing what table-top games can learn from their console counterparts. *sighs* I write about Final Fantasy. Yes, boo, uninteresting, but here's some insight as to why I'm not jumping for joy about this series. I've got my reasons, and they are likely not what most are going to be anticipating. There is some content in the editorial that may baffle you, maybe even confuse you. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Now with that warning out of the way, it's time for me to go relax and maybe watch another movie. See you all next week!
