Well, Jerry Springer: The Musical is officially the most bizarre thing I have ever seen in my life. Giant babies, Satan, girls who just wanna dance... if you catch my drift. Needless to say, even though it's just a musical version of the Jerry Springer Show, my jaw did drop quite a number of times just in surprise. Don't believe me? Look up some of the musical numbers on YouTube and see for yourself. Actually fun fact: in the original production, Lewis Black played the role of Jerry Springer!
Another week, and I've only managed to do a little bit of gaming. I mostly played Professor Layton and Rune Factory 2, but I also did manage to put some time in with Persona 3:FES. I also ended up pre-ordering Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume because I am such a VP fangirl (most. favourite. game. ever.), and I decided to take a chance and pre-order Retro Game Challenge, mostly because I think it would be an awesome game to play on the bus to and from school. Well, whenever it is I get to go back to school. Strikes suck.
Editorials this week, I has them! This week sees the return of Jared Prewitt who comes baring a discussion about save points! I love you save points... you make an RPGamer's life so very, very pleasant. The second ed comes from Macstorm, who discusses how hype has the ability to disappoint gamers. It's a very truthful piece, but when people get obsessive over things, I think it is hard to sometimes avoid spoiling yourself. Remember the Harry Potter hype, kids? Like that!
Two announcements, one minor, one major: next week is the beginning of the month, so the 'Your Opinion' questions will change. If you have any suggestions of things you would like to see be discussed, feel free to comment on the forum. The other piece of news is that it is my esteemed pleasure to announce that Mike 'JuMeSyn' Moehnke will be joining the RPGamer Editorial Staff! Please give him the heartiest of welcomes, as he deserves it and I know he has a lot that he can offer to the table. As always, please read, respond and submit. The more content, the better! See you all next week!
