Hi RPGamers, it's time for another editorials column. I don't have a lot of news to pass along really, as it's been a quiet time for me. Still working, still hating my job, and still finding a little time for WoW when I can. That game has been my only real source of relaxation in an otherwise stress-filled life. Ah well, tomorrow is another day, and eventually my luck will change. Maybe, just maybe, it will be tomorrow.
Today's title comes from the fact that as I write this, I really have no idea what to say. Don't you just hate writer's block? It's the one reason why I'll never succeed as a writer. I get the worst blocks sometimes, and can't think of anything useful to put down for weeks, even months. I don't know how professional writers do it. In the meantime, I need the Vaus ship from Arkanoid to come blast away my evil writer's block with its energy sphere of power.
Lucky for me, two of our staff aren't cursed with such a blockage this week. Jason takes us back in time 18 years to see how RPGs have grown over time; and then Michael discusses the conundrum of making a game's difficulty curve "just right."
So, what about the rest of you? I notice so few fan submissions these days, and it's really surprising. Everyone has an opinion, especially on the internet; I want yours! Email me at Editor@RPGamer.com and share your thoughts and feelings with everyone else. I look forward to hearing from you. Until then, see you next week!
