Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XIV. You see that Final Fantasy XIV will be a completely traditional RPG with a large cast of characters. It appears to be a mix of your favorite artistic style, and combat looks as if it follows an improved format of your favorite series game to date. It will feature voice acting and it seems as if the English version will have your favorite voice actors. Everything that you like about the series is there so far. It contains the best that can be offered in terms of production and features a story that appears to be on par with your favorite in the series. Your favorite director and music composer are involved in the project. Everything seems so perfect.

Then you see the first screen. It's the best you've ever seen on the system. There appears to be a ton of production value in the screens that have been released. You really can't believe this is possible, but it goes beyond everything you thought was could be done. Then you find a video clip. The voice acting sounds great and the plot seems really interesting. The gameplay footage is just what you wanted in a Final Fantasy game. The main character doesn't seem to be cliché and the supporting cast appears to fit in perfectly. The music is wonderful, just what you like. It seems too good to be true.

All of the pieces are in place. Does it now matter that this game is on the DS?
