The FF9 Prophecy

'We don't know anything about FF9, so we shouldn't be criticizing it', I've heard this a number of times since the terrific trio were announced, and this simple argument is VERY true, because we shouldn't be jumping to conclusions here...but I will, FF9 is going to RULE!

First of all, there is absolutely no reason to think that this incantation of the series will be bad. 'But FF7 and 8 sucked dude! They had FMV...and uh, realistic looking characters...and...well, they just sucked!', would you crack smoking drones just drop back into the sewers where you belong! Myself, and numerous others have thoroughly explained why the last two sequels were NOT BAD, as hard as that is for so many of you fungii to comprehend. So, seeing as how all eight (and the god-like Tactics off-shoot) Final Fantasies were superb, the next one will be to, that's just a given, would Square actually create a bad Final Fantasy at this point, with two more directly on the horizon? No. That's what is called BAD BUSINESS for so many of you people who fail to realize that capitalism is kind of...you know...relevant!

9 will be going back to its roots of swords and sorcery and black wizards and all that jazz, so none of you have any real right to complain at all, even though a very, very, very few actually thought that the series should continue in its somewhat progressive technological ascension (myself), why not? The majority of rpg's these days ARE still medieval anyway, I can't see the harm in not repealing the formula that's created a multi-million seller in the U.S.

My final argument, is that this game is absolutely GORGEOUS! I wish I could go beyond capitals here, because I have SEEN THE LIGHT! Have many of you people seen that movie? Holy cow, is that not the prettiest damn thing you've ever seen!?! Well, that's what I was thinking until I saw the FF10 movie, but that's neither here nor there.

Come on people! This game is going to rock! PLEASE stop it with the all the mindless Square-bashing, just sit back like a twig in the Mississippi and let the water take you, just enjoy the ride. Be happy!
