Recently I have seen a lot of old and new-school gamers trying to convince each other why their side is right. Neither of them is 100% right, let me explain: Do you remember the first Final Fantasy or Zelda you played? I know what you're thinking, back then they made games, now they just make money don't they? I'm thinking about FF7 and Zelda: LA, I remember them as two of the best games I ever played. Chances are that you were thinking of other titles, but I think you remember them just as fondly as I do. Now when you play a game you compare it to the memory of your old-favourite........and often come to the conclusion that the old game was better. But is this true? Is it fair to compare a game to a memory? WAKE UP!!!!!!!! New-school gamers also forget that one day they'll be old school gamers and dream away with their memories. So in conclusion, play games now and stop living in the past, it's ok to think of old-games but don't expect that you'll change history, games will keep evolving (thank God imagine a black and white version of the Matrix with no sound ) |
