At last I have control of your computer! FWA HA HA!! Anyway...I guess
this is where I'm supposed to tell you a little about myself...oh drat.
I've been visiting RPGamer since around the spring of 1998, I believe, though my memory of that turbulent
year is a little blurred. I was a senior in high school, and a group of friends and I were
steadfast in our commitment to undermine authority and seize those final, monotonous high school days and make them memorable by enacting
all the extravagant, elaborately planned schemes (read: full-blown parades with marching band, jugglers, food and cafeteria games; pep-rally
hijackings, etc...) we could muster without amassing criminal records... ...But I'm afraid I might have said too much already...
My first console RPG was the original Final Fantasy and from there I was hooked. I went on to become quite the "Sega kid" and found myself enamored
with the Genesis's Phantasy Star and Shining Force RPGs. After going on to play Square masterpieces
such as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, I was firmly set in my belief that RPGs are
among the very best entertainment products around. In recent years I've been increasingly stunned with the storytelling quality and thematic complexity some RPGs have achieved, and I hope the genre's artistic strengths continue to come to the fore in the future.
I've also developed an immense interest and appreciation for video game soundtracks (predominately RPG music) and composers, and I've
imported a healthy collection of CDs over the years. My favorite artists are Yasunori Mitsuda,
Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura and Konami's Kukehia Club. Some of my favorite original soundtracks include: Castlevania: Nocturne
in the Moonlight, Castlevania IV, Legend of Mana, Genso Suikoden, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Tactics and generally most FF soundtracks^..^
I'm currently attending West Chester University as a fourth-year English/literature major with a journalism minor. I've been working for
RPGamer since November 2, 2001, and I'm thrilled to be here. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do after college, but
I would love to acquire a full-time job in the video game business as a journalist if I can be so fortunate.
