IRC Nick: CatMan
Position: Editorials Columnist
Homepage: JWFAQs
I first stumbled upon RPGamer in 1998 and have been an active visitor since. I was hired as a News Reporter for the site in late 2001 and worked in that position until early 2003, writing nearly 200 news stories during that time. I then officially took over the Editorials Column, engaging me in my current position as the section's curator. I love working here and hope to help continue the site's tradition of excellent RPG coverage and fan interaction.
I've contributed to the site in several other ways as well, including reviews, previews, Q&A, and E3 coverage. I have also written several FAQs / Walkthroughs, all of which can be found in my Homepage link.
Outside of the Internet, I am a college student studying English, Communications, and Technical Writing. I currently make my living as a server at a local restaurant. Once finished with school, I hope to pursue a career in the video game industry.
As far as RPGs are concerned, well, they're my life. I started with Final Fantasy IV in 1994 and have continued playing them ever since. I grew up with console RPGs, and over the past couple of years I've also found an interest in PC role-playing games. I also recently made my foray into the world of MMORPGs with Final Fantasy XI.
I'm also a fan of RPG music. My favorite composers include Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Yoko Shimomura (Legend of Mana, Kingdom Hearts), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono, Xeno), Masashi Hamauzu (SaGa Frontier 2, Unlimited SaGa, Final Fantasy X), Noriyuki Iwadare (Lunar, Grandia), Motoi Sakuraba (Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile), and Jeremy Soule (Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Dungeon Siege).
Thanks for reading about me, and if you have any questions, please send them my way.
