Mexico a few years ago. Mexico a few years ago.

No matter what anyone tells you to the contrary, Tales of Symphonia is the greatest RPG ever made. Don't argue this point with me, you will not win. Ironically, I have not yet reviewed this game, despite having played it to completion over a half dozen times. That will have to change in the near future.

I'm Adriaan and currently I'm employed as the Points of View Curator, or head of reviews, if you prefer. My job entails making sure you all have reviews to read so that we can tell you what your opinion should be on all the latest games. If we didn't, you might dare to think that Enchanted Arms is a pretty good game, or that Persona 3 is only ok. And we can't have that now, can we?

I was originally hired as a reviewer in June of 2007, but after what I've come to term "The Great Reviewer Migration of '07," I was soon promoted to my current position and have held it since. I'd like to suggest that it was due to my incredible talent and charming personality, but in truth, I was simply the only one left to do it. I'll continue to delude myself, though. Nothing wrong with a good delusion every now and then.

My personal tastes in RPGs differ a bit from some of the more "old school" staff members. I prefer innovative gameplay over traditional RPG styles, and I also like to be engaged in combat rather than selecting items from a menu, hence my penchant for action RPGs. I also value good gameplay more than story or visuals, and a boring, pretty game with a great story will usually be reviewed more harshly by myself than one that is a lot of fun, but with as much visual and literary merit as a cereal box.

When not playing the latest RPG to cross my plate, I can usually be found watching a movie or some anime, playing a different style of game such as God of War, Rock Band, or Ace Attorney, and once in a blue moon I might even be caught writing something. Or working. But rest assured, when I'm working, I'd rather be doing one of the above.
