Resident Evil 4 has thus far reminded me of Metal Gear Solid, Shenmue,
and Devil May Cry, all for various different reasons.

What the heck is the point of this? I have an intro blurb sitting right there...

Hi there,
Read the Q&A recently and had a comment about preordering through local
stores. Who knows, one of you might be interested in passing this along
to the readers :)
I'd personally suggest NEVER, EVER preordering something from a local
store (Gamestop or EB), unless you know for a fact that it's a huge one
that always gets lots of stock.
I worked at Software Etc (now gamestop) about 5 years ago, and often
times we wouldn't get the preorder prizes we were supposed to get. Or,
we'd have 20 preorders and only get 2 items, thus going to the first 2
people that came in. We were told this is based on how much the company
has, as well as how important of a store you are ordering from,
basically. Larger stores might get 5 while our smaller store only gets
2, etc.
Having been a complete idiot and preordering things on a regular basis
from local stores anyways, I can say that 90% of the time, I never get
my preorder prize. They either don't get it at all, or only get a few,
and I wasn't one of the first to come in (as I work, and can't go in
right when the package arrives).
Other times, things like Suikoden IV happen where Konami didn't send
gamestop ANY art books, though when calling EBgames.com, they had it in
stock.
Anyways, so yeah.. I think it's a good word of warning to tell people
they shouldn't expect to get a preorder prize from a local store. Those
employees will swear above all else that you'll get it, but my track
record not only with working there, but also preordering from probably
5-6 different EB/gamestops over the last 5 years says otherwise.

So remember kids, faceless automatons beat real flesh and blood people 9 times out of 10. Or something.

Hey!
Thanks for the quick response and the assurance you gave me. Yes they are not the only writers of Xeno series but like
IGN says :
"... For the unfamiliar, Soraya and her collaborator (and husband) Tetsuya Takahashi were the driving forces behind the plot for Xenosaga Episode I and II, Xenosaga Pied Piper, and the original Xenogears since 1998 ..."
"Driving forces", which for me is like the main writers... That's why I was a little scared...
Tx!

You miss the point here. Only one person quit. Not both.

Didn't we declare this topic dead?

Dear Rpgamer Question and Answer Hosts;
Christianity in FF7? Just because Aeris sacrificed
herself to save the world? Isn't that just a cliche'd
plot device used in almost every RPG? Sephiroth as
the anti-christ? Some of you guys are kinda making
wide assumptions about Christianity. Sometimes the
Japanese like to sprinkle bible references into
material to make it more edgy, too, so that doesn't
necessarily mean anything either.
As for a question, Are there any upcoming RPG's that
you guys are actually excited about?

Hmm... the only game coming up in the near future for a console is Xenosaga 2, and no, I'm not particularly
excited over that one. Things should heat up after E3, as they so often do.

Hello,
I noticed that there was this: Whatchoo talkin about no submit button at the
bottom? -t
written in white at the bottom of your QNA page. I noticed it on total
accident, is it an inside joke or something?

Something like that yes... although a few thousand people are in on it and it's been going for something
like seven years straight now.

Stressy stressy week this. Time to relax with a weekend of kicking the heads off sickle
wielding spaniards.

Sometimes, an Googleshng is just a cake.
You had me at zugzug.
