   Durn Injun Spirits...

Googleshng - February 13 '03- 2:00 Eastern Standard Time

Frightening sequence of events: Someone gives all my cats a ton of catnip. I let all the cats outside. Five minutes later, either a coyote or a fox comes down the road, presumably looking here in civilization for something to eat that wasn't frozen to eat.

The freakiest part? It took one look at Lucifer and kept right on running. I seriously think this cat has some form of mind control.

Ghost in the Copyright Protection

As another European gamer, I will just have to say that the situation here with consoles is sometimes right down pitiful. The only REALISTIC solution is to just mod your console and import everything from americas. This isn't so bad in the end, since games in Europe are not only often worse than other versions, they are also more expensive and delayed several months.

Everything is simply because of the greed of sony and others, for imposing country codes, and forcing us to use modchips.

P.S. When you mentioned it, I also realized I only know one GitS person by name. Yep, the same one as you. I know the boss is referred to as "Saru" (monkey), but I don't know his real name.

Googleshng:
Importing is indeed what most European gamers have to resort to, but I still say that if it weren't for the whole PAL thing, you people would have things much easier.

Anyway, yeah. Aside from Batou it's always just "Major" and "the monkey" and such. Of course, particularly in SAC here, I still say the old guy bears an uncanny resemblence to Dr. Wily.

Sharp Boomsticks

In this pic posted at at RPgamer, http://www.rpgamer.com/mc/costumes/sakura2002/sakura02_04.jpg, the gunblade the kid is holding looks awfully real to be home made. Did they actually manufacture lifesize replicas of the gunblade? Thanks.

Googleshng:
Really? From where I sit it looks like your standard cardboard wrapped in silver tape affair. In any case, while Square released a ton of FF8 memorabilia, I don't believe any potentially deadly weapons were included in the mix.

Quickies

I think people show me stuff like this just to torture me. WANT!

Souths gunna riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiise ageen! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!!

Is it? Cool. Wanna get that out of the way before the summer so I don't have to fly down to a wedding in Georgia?

I'm just wondering what that Xenosaga timer on the main page is actually counting down to? It's a week too early for the release, so what is it?

The end of the world. Just don't go blabbing.

More seriously, it's a countdown until when Namco calls off their widespread advertising blitz. Why they aren't instead counting down until the game's release, that's anyone's guess.

The Last Laugh:

Lot of Quickiness today. It's not that I didn't get many letters so much as I got that one Xenosaga question in mass quantities.
